Flight Arrival Information for New Students
Dear incoming MSU international students,
We need your help. The Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS) will have volunteers at the Lansing airport to greet newly arriving students the few days before the International Student Orientation program. To help us, Campus Living Services and the Department of Residence Life, we ask that you complete a survey about your arrival in East Lansing.
Lansing Capital Region International Airport (LAN)
To make your travels to MSU as easy as possible, you are encouraged to arrange your travel schedule so that the Lansing Capital Region International Airport (LAN) is your final flight destination. Taxi service is available from the Lansing Capital Region International Airport to MSU, and is just a short 15 minute ride away.
If your final flight destination is Detroit Metro Airport (DTW), we recommend taking the Michigan Flyer bus to East Lansing, followed by a short taxi ride to campus. The Michigan Flyer offers daily bus service between the Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) and East Lansing. Buses run several times a day, take around 2 hours, and cost approximately $30-$50 if you book in advance. Please check their web site for further information: http://www.michiganflyer.com.
OISS is exploring options for providing transportation from the Lansing Capital Region International Airport (LAN) and the Michigan Flyer East Lansing Marriott Hotel Destination to local hotels and the MSU campus. Please check your MSU email in the following weeks for more details.
Please refer to our website for orientation and pre-arrival information: http://oiss.isp.msu.edu/students/orientation/.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter, and we look forward to receiving your completed survey as soon as possible.
