OISS explores social media

Posted By: OISS    Published: Tuesday, 29 Nov 2011

The Office for International Students and Scholars (OISS) at MSU has been working hard to reach their students and the greater community through social media.

As of late November 2011, their blog, OISSLive, had nearly 2,000 hits in its second month of publishing. See the blog here: http://oissmsu.wordpress.com/

The blog has been a success hosting guest bloggers from the OISS staff as well as student perspectives from our MSU international students. Blogs have ranged from how to find employment to highlights from OISS Featured Programs such as the 2011 Global Festival.

The OISS Twitter account has around 900 followers, and looks to have 1,000 by the new year.

Social media users can also follow OISS through their Facebook page found here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/oissmsu

In 2012, OISS hopes to do more with video and continue to expand their reach through various social media channels.
