New: Pay driver's license fees and get temporary permits on campus tomorrow!

OISS has just received confirmation that the Michigan Secretary of State's office will offer expanded services at the on-campus driver's license application and testing session on Friday, September 14th, 3rd Floor International Center, 9:00am - 11:30am and 1:00pm - 3:30pm.

Previously available on-campus services:

  • Driver's License application form submission
  • Identity verification
  • Vision test
  • Written test of Michigan driving laws

NEW services available September 14th:

  • Payment of $25 license fee (for those who pass written test)
  • Issuance of Temporary Instructional Permits (for those who pass written test)
  • Issuance of road test permits (for those who pass written test AND who have a valid driver's license translation)
  • Final driver's license approval for those who have already passed the road test
  • Final driver's license approval for those who already hold a driver's license from Germany or South Korea

All listed services require visa documents, a Social Security document, and two Michigan residency documents.
