International Startup Weekend (Entrepreneurship & International Students)
The Office for International Students and Scholars at Michigan State University is partnering with the Lansing Economic Area Partnership, Prima Civitas Foundation, the NEO Center, and immigration counsel professionals to host an entrepreneurship event specifically for international students.
From 4-6 p.m. (coinciding with the kickoff of Startup Weekend Lansing), you can hear from Scott Cooper, leading immigration attorney at Fragomen, to understand the legalities of starting a business in the United States based on your current and future immigration status.
After the presentation, attendees can speak directly with immigration counsel, the Small Business & Nonprofit Law Clinic at MSU, the aforementioned partners, and others.

Transportation will be provided from Michigan State University, and the location is also accessed by CATA Bus Lines.
If you need transportation, please arrive at the International Center at 3:15 p.m. We will leave PROMPTLY at 3:30 p.m. to get to the NEO Center on time.
OISS will also provide return transportation back to the International Center.
